TURNING POINT DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR WEDNESDAY 19TH APRIL 2023 BY DR DAVID JEREMIAH

Welcome to David Jeremiah Devotional, an American evangelical Christian author, founder of Turning Point Radio and Television Ministries and senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church. Read and digest the word of the lord for today and see how powerfully it will impact you. God bless you.

Today’s Topic: The Crystal Ball

Scripture:As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. – Isaiah 66:13

Recommended Reading: Isaiah 66:12-13

12 For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.

13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

DAVID JEREMIAH’S TURNING POINT 19 APRIL 2023

What’s your most embarrassing moment? In 2012, the visiting father of an Alabama football player bumped into a table and shattered the $30,000 Waterford crystal AFCA Coaches’ Trophy. No one knows who was most mortified, the man who did it or his son, the Crimson Tide player. Out of mercy, their names were never revealed, but it was a very embarrassing fumble.[1]

We all have these types of fumbles in life, and most of us are haunted by moments when we managed to embarrass ourselves. Too often we find ourselves, not in the red zone, but in the red-face zone.

God knows every time we bobble the ball, lose yardage, or get sacked. He doesn’t need any replays. He sees every step, knows every slip, and experiences with us every victory or defeat. Yet He still loves us. We can be fully transparent with Him because there’s nothing we can hide. He comforts us like a loving mother. Leave your mistakes with the Master and toss your trophies at His feet. Learning to do that is a game changer.

Jesus has seen us at our worst and still loves us.
