MFM Daily Devotional 16th October 2020 Today Message by Pastor D.K Olukoya

TOPIC: THE DEVIL’S WEAPON

Fire Scripture: Num. 21:4; Num. 32:7; 1Kings 19:1-8

TODAY’S OUTLINE: MFM Daily Devotional 16th October 2020

In today’s devotional, we shall look at one of the greatest weapons used by the enemy. It is the weapon of discouragement. It is battle you must win to make it in life. It is one of subtle weapon of the devil to retain you perpetually in the valley of failure. You have to avoid it, as it is a dangerous satanic weapon. To avoid it, you must encourage yourself at all times.

Many people get easily discouraged. They lose hope when their prayers are not answered quickly or when they are disappointed. In a vision, a sister saw the shop of the devil. In that shop, she saw hypertension, diabetes, bad luck and all sorts of things with their price tags. She asked the devil, “Mr. Devil, what is the most expensive item in your store?”

The devil told her that it was discouragement. He told her that, once he was able to get believers discouraged, he has captured them. She asked him, “When does discouragement come to a person?” He explained to her that discouragement sets in after depression; and that both of them give birth to hopelessness.

This explains why somebody is heading towards a miracle and the devil is determined to hinder the person, he uses discouragement.
Beloved, do not allow your heart to be discouraged. Never give up. Always encourage yourself and never fail to convince yourself that, “it is not over, until it is over.”

Memory Verse: Jonah 4:3 “Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.”

Motivational Quote: Favour erases lobbying. Favour cancels begging. Favour eradicates being.

Prophetic Word: Prophesy upon your life that beginning from today, your life will move forward.

HYMN: ABIDE WITH US, THE DAY IS WANING

“Abide with us, the day is waning,”
Thus prayed the two while on the way;
We read that Thou, O Lord, remaining,
Didst all their doubts and fears allay.
Incline Thine ear, Thou King of Grace,
When, praying thus, we seek Thy face.

At eventide, Thy Spirit sending,
Help us, O Lord, our watch to keep,
In prayer devout before Thee bending,
Ere we our eyelids close in sleep,
Confessing sin in deed and word
With hope of mercy from the Lord.

Abide with us; with heav’nly gladness
Illumine, Lord, our darkest day;
And when we weep in pain and sadness,
Be Thou our Solace, Strength and Stay.
Tell of Thy woe, Thy victory won,
When Thou didst pray: “Thy will be done.”

Abide with us, O Savior tender,
That bitter day when life shall end,
When to the grave we must surrender,
And fear and pain our hearts shall rend.
The shield of faith do Thou bestow
When trembling we must meet the foe.

When earthly help no more availeth,
To sup with us Thou wilt be nigh;
Thou givest strength that never faileth,
In Thee we grave and death defy.
While earth is fading from our sight,
Our eyes behold the realms of light.
