“But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:17–18
Today’s Insight:
Jesus teaches us that true devotion is not for display but for divine reward. God is deeply attentive to what happens in the secret place—your quiet prayers, unseen sacrifices, and sincere obedience. What you do privately with God releases public results ordained by Him.
Today, focus on pleasing God, not people. Remain joyful, expectant, and confident, knowing that the Father who sees in secret is actively rewarding you openly.
Prayer for Today:
Father, help me to serve You with a pure heart. Teach me to value the secret place and trust You for the reward. Let my devotion bring glory to You alone, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
