JOEL OSTEEN 17TH SEPTEMBER 2022 DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

TODAY’S TOPIC: FEEL THE BURN

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 12:11, AMPC
Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.

Today’s Word || Joel Osteen 17th September 2022

In today’s Scripture, the apostle Paul didn’t say, “Never lag in faith, in confidence, or in experience.” He says, “Never lag in zeal.” He was saying, “If you stay passionate about your dreams and what God promised, if you don’t lag in zeal, then what you’re lagging in will eventually turn around.

You may lag in resources, in friendships, or in good health, but if you stay aglow, burning with the Spirit, then the healing is coming, the confidence is coming, the abundance is coming, and the right people are coming. The key is to keep that passion in your spirit.

You may be struggling with disappointments, or depression, or an illness, or a situation that’s not turning around. You could go through the day sour, but you have to dig your heels in and say, “I am not going to let the enemy have my joy, my praise, or my expectancy. This day is a gift from God. I’m going to keep my faith on fire, aglow and burning with the Spirit.”

Prayer for Today
Father, I worship You with all my heart because You are worthy Almighty God. Thank You that I can keep my faith aglow and burning because You have given Your Spirit to dwell in me. I will not let the enemy steal my joy or my praise, and I will not lag in zeal. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
