TOPIC: THE GIVING THAT GUARANTEES REWARD (I).
Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya(DKO)

Bible In One Year:
Exodus 23–24; Matthew 20:1–16

Memory Verse: Deuteronomy 15:10
Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

Motivational Quotes:
Embrace love, faith and obedience in giving to God and your reward shall come.

Prophetic Word for Today:
I prophesy that this year, you will give biblically and be blessed tremendously, in the Name of Jesus.

Fire Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:5-15

5 So I thought that I should ask these brothers to come there before we do. They will help in getting together the generous gift you promised. Then it will be ready when we come, and it will be seen as a blessing you are giving, not as something you were forced to do.

6 Remember this: The one who plants few seeds will have a small harvest. But the one who plants a lot will have a big harvest. 7 Each one of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You should not give if it makes you unhappy or if you feel forced to give. God loves those who are happy to give. 8 And God can give you more blessings than you need, and you will always have plenty of everything. You will have enough to give to every good work. 9 As the Scriptures say,

“He gives generously to the poor;
his goodness will continue forever.”
10 God is the one who gives seed to those who plant, and he gives bread for food. And God will give you spiritual seed and make that seed grow. He will produce a great harvest from your goodness. 11 God will make you rich in every way so that you can always give freely. And your giving through us will make people give thanks to God.

12 The service you are offering helps God’s people with their needs, but that is not all it does. It is also bringing more and more thanks to God. 13 This service is a proof of your faith, and people will praise God because of it. They will praise God that you freely share what you have with them and with all people. They will praise him to see you following the Good News about Christ that you openly accepted. They will praise God because you freely share with them and with all people. 14 And when they pray, they will wish they could be with you. They will feel this way because of the great grace that God gave you. 15 Thanks be to God for his gift that is too wonderful to describe.

MFM Devotional For 30th January 2023 Message:

Surely, God rewards faithful givers in His kingdom. However, it is common to hear some believers say that they give but do not get rewards for their giving. The truth is that the kingdom of God is run by principles and laws. Therefore, giving in God’s kingdom does not automatically guarantee reward. If your giving is not in line with the standards of the Bible, it will not yield the rewards or results that you desire.

Many give offering but not in obedience to the Bible standard. Many give first fruit but violate God’s command in doing so. Many pay tithes but follow their discretion, whims and caprices, rather than God’s rules on tithing. Each of these givers or payers expect rewards and they blame God when they do not get their expected results.

Do you want God to remember and reward your giving handsomely? Here are the steps you should take to guarantee that.

First, you (the giver) must be saved and living in the will of God. Your prayer, tithe and first fruit will rise to God as a sweet smelling sacrifice; He will accept as well as reward them. So, you should first give your life to Jesus, become a member of His kingdom and a citizen of heaven.

Second, you must get rid of iniquity in your life. Job 22:23-25 makes this clear: ‘If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.’ This passage enjoins that you –

(1) Repent and return to God if you have sinned or wandered away from Him. When you do this, He will lift and build you up.

(2) Put away iniquity far from your life -be holy, walk with God and be perfect. The result is that your giving will be acceptable, you will have gold as dust and plenty of silver (stupendous or untold wealth), and God will be your defence.
