Fire Scripture: Isaiah 43:1-3
1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

MFM Daily Devotional 27th April 2023: Message

In Daniel 3:25-30, God protected the Jews in captivity. They were comforted in trial. This will happen to if you are determined to be true to God, no matter how intense the pressure. God’s protection transcends anything you can imagine.

From our Fire Scripture, God promised to be with you when going through the waters. In Psalm 69:1, King David cried unto God, “Save me, O God, for the waters are come unto my soul.” You too can cry unto God when you find yourself in situations you can’t manage.

Note that God will never leave you or forsake you in your times of trouble. Jesus told us in John 16:33 that there would be tribulations but you are to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. There are situations in your life too that feel like mighty rivers that seem to want to drown you. Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:26 that in a time like this, you should remember God’s promises that the rivers will not sweep over you.

Probably, you are even going through a situation that is so terrible and you feel like it is burning you. God says that even in this situation, He will be with you the way He was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. The fire will become an air condition. The fire will not burn you, neither will the flames set you ablaze.
What you need is courageous trust in God. That trust gave the Israelites victory over Pharaoh and his hosts It gave David victory over Goliath.

It also shut the lions’ mouths for Daniel and enabled Nehemiah to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem successfully, in spite of the opposition of Sanballat and Tobias. It made Elijah to triumph over the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. I pray that God will give you the gift of faith today, in the name of Jesus.
Beloved, you are never alone God is always with you. He is not a man that will lie. For you to enjoy the company of God, you must surrender your totality to Him. Allow Him to lead you and just follow Him. You are never alone!
