SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S): Understanding what is in the fear of the Lord
There are many people who love God but there are few people who fear God
You make it to church because you love God but you make it to Heaven because you fear God
Since our journey does not end here on earth, we must understand the fear of the Lord
There are many who have faith in God but not many have the fear of God
Faith in God guarantees results on earth but the fear of God guarantees eternal results plus eternity in Heaven
There are many who claim to be in the service of God but they do not live in the fear of God
Service of God guarantees blessedness on earth but it is the fear of God that guarantees blessedness in eternity

WHAT IS THE FEAR OF THE LORD ALL ABOUT?
1. It is existence with the sense of healthy reverence and respect for God (Eccl. 12:13; Ps. 111:9-13)
There are many people who reverence and respect people or things more than they reverence and respect God
We must come to the point where there is nothing under Heaven that we respect and reverence more than God
Anything you respect or reverence more than God has taken the place of God in your life
2. It is existence with abhorrence for unrighteousness and an attraction for righteousness (Ps. 1:1)
It is existence with an allergy for evil and an addiction to good; you hate what God hates and love what God loves
It is not possible to fear God and be comfortable in the company of evil
3. It is existence under the command and dictates of the Lord (Eccl. 12:13)
It is living in submission to the demands and dictates of your Maker
The fear of the Lord means that the Word of God is law to your life and you don’t negotiate with His instructions
The fear of the Lord means that the Word of God is the final say to your life
The only person you are careful not to offend is God
4. It is existence with a conscience that is void of offence towards God and towards man (Acts 24:16; 1Tim. 4:2)
It is existence with a conscience that is awake, aware and alive
The man or the woman who fears God are the ones whose consciences are not seared with a hot iron (1Tim. 4:2)
The fear of God gives you a childlike conscience – the tenderness of a baby
When you have the fear of God, to say sorry is easy.
5. It is existence with the consciousness of the eternal consequences of life’s actions (Eccl. 12:14)
When you live with the fear of God you are conscious of the fact that the actions you take have consequences after this life
Exist with eternal consciousness consequence
You are in the world but you are living with eternity in view
You live with the consciousness that how you live on the earth determines where you end in eternity
6. It is existence with the consciousness of the terror of the Lord (2Cor. 5:11; Heb. 12:28-29; Jude 1:9; Rom. 11:22)
This is the refusal to be familiar with God
You refuse to take God for granted
WHAT ARE THE FACTORS THAT TRIGGER THE FEAR OF THE LORD?
1. The knowledge or revelation of the Lord (Gen. 28:16-17; Heb. 12:28-29)
When you experience His Almightiness and you see your nothingness, the fear of God is natural
When you experience His Almightiness and you see your nothingness, the fear of God is natural
There is a side of God you will know that will cause you fear
The true knowledge of God is n impartation of reverence
2. The activity of the Holy Spirit (Isa. 11:1-2; Acts 5:13)
Where the Spirit of the Lord is at work, the fear of the Lord abounds
When you flow abundantly in the Holy Ghost, you flow abundantly in the fear of the Lord
Anywhere the Spirit moves, the fear of the Lord thrives.
It is not possible to have the genuine Holy Spirit from Heaven and not have the fear of the Lord
3. The judgments of the Lord (Ex. 14:30-31; Isa. 26:9; Acts 5:11)
4. The wonders of God (Ex. 15:11; Ps. 67:5-7)
The wonders of God activate the fear of the Lord
Anytime the wonders of God explode, people quake.
Wherever wonders abound, fearful things manifest
Wonders provoke fearful praise
PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your Word to us today. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– Everything the devil arrested in your life is loosed to run right now!
– There are judgments that will happen in this season and around your life that will make people who know us to fear God!
