Outline For Scripture Union Daily Guide 22 March 2023
We see Mordecai faced with a very difficult situation. Observe his response in v.1. As sad as the predicament was, there was still a limit to how far he could go to obtain help (v.2). Several human restrictions and protocols could hinder us from being helped sometimes by our fellow man. But with our God, it is not so. We are actually encouraged to approach the throne of grace with confidence, to receive mercy (in Jesus Christ) and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:14-16).
What obstacle was in Esther’s way (v.11; 2:10,20)? See how Mordecai dealt with the problem (vs.12–14). When is it dangerous to remain silent? “Who knows if God brought you to such position for such a time as this?” Esther stopped trying to escape from the problem. She determined to face it squarely with the power of God through fasting and prayer (vs.15–16). Esther made herself available to God, not minding the cost, even her life. What a great example for us to follow? See also Daniel 3:16-18.

► Funds to execute assigned programmes this year.
PRAY AGAINST:
► Lack of focus and distractions in the work.
► All forms of presumptions, thereby making light of their assignments.
