The three opening verses of today’s reading are the equipment that decorates all of God’s children ─ as many as have invited Jesus into their hearts to control their lifestyle. Once so equipped, the Christian, through prayer and the use of God’s word, is set to overcome and completely crush the enemy.
It is interesting to find that with God you can achieve the impossible ─ “bending a bow of bronze with your arms” (v.36)! Of course, the Lord himself teaches us that all things are possible to them that believe (Mark 9:23). For your sake, God does not give heed to the distress call of your enemy. He also delivers us from attacks emanating from without and fears from within.
See 2 Corinthians 7:5–7, for Paul’s own experience. When we stand with God, people submit to and easily obey our views. We are lifted above intimidating circumstances and violent men and as a result we continually live a life of praise and gratitude to God.

Practice/Word Application:
• And so?: Count your blessings, name them one by one?. and praise God for the blessings and victory he gives you daily. V.47 is a familiar song as well.
Prayer:
• Thank you, Lord, because you are the one who avenges me and subdues my adversary before me.
• Praise Him for His love in keeping our families together in unity, and in meeting our spiritual and material needs.
• Offer a prayer of faith in line with Judges 6:23
