It has been confirmed that a major attitude of great men is their devotion to prayer and the Word of God. Great men of generational impact in Scripture were men given to the lifestyle of prayer and the Word.

For example, Prophet Samuel was a notable person who pleased God. God used him to raise great kings like David. And one secret of Samuel was his devotional lifestyle of prayer and the Word.

In 1 Samuel 12:23, he said, Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

From the life of Prophet Samuel, we understand that prayerlessness is a sin, especially failure to pray for those who are our responsibilities. Samuel told the children of Israel that God forbid that he should sin against Him in ceasing to pray for them. He also said that he would teach them the good and right way. So, he was a man of prayer.
