TOPIC: UNDERSTAND THE TIMES

Scripture Reading: MATTHEW 2: 1-20

Scripture: “And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.” (Matthew 2: 4)

When Herod was told about the birth of one who would be king of the Jews, he didn’t understand what it was all about, and he had to summon the chief priests and scribes. A new season was unfolding, but Herod had no idea about it. A new season was unfolding, and it took the scribes and chief priests to decode it. A new season was unfolding, and though Herod was unaware, there were men who were up to date in what God was doing.

Friend, it is important that you understand the times and seasons. May your eyes be open to discern times and seasons. May your eyes be open to discern the will of God. May your eyes be open to understand and appreciate what God is doing in the now. May your eyes be open to understand the change that God is bringing. May your eyes be open to appreciate the new season that is unfolding before your very eyes.

Herod seemed to be engulfed in the old, he was engulfed in the season that was passing away, but he had no idea of the new season that God was bringing. He had no idea that times had changed; he had no idea that his own season had ended and that a new season had begun. It is important that you understand the seasons that are ending and the new seasons that are beginning. It is important that you understand change of times.

Herod had no understanding of the times, and he ended up seeking help from the scribes and chief priests. He had no understanding of the times, and he ended up being dependent on those who understood the times. If you fail to understand the times and seasons, you will end up dependent on those who understand the times and seasons. Those who do not understand the times, will always need the help or those who understand the times.

Don’t be counted amongst them that have no idea about divine agenda. Don’t be counted amongst them who do not know anything about what God is doing. If you fail to understand the times, you will end up dependent on those who understand the times.

My eyes are open to understand times and seasons, in Jesus’ name!
