TODAY’S TOPIC: HOPE FROM BEHIND
SCRIPTURE: “When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.” (Mark 5: 27)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
The woman with the issue of blood came in the press behind and touched His clothes. There was a multitude following Jesus; there would have been many who were closer to Jesus and in a better position to touch Him or His garments. There were several competitors in the matter of the touching of garment; yet this woman came from behind and succeeded in touching Jesus. She was not in front, she came from behind, and succeeded.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you may be coming from behind, but God says you will succeed. There may be people who have gone ahead of you, there may be people who are better positioned than you, there may be people who are closer to the target than you are, there may be people who have gone farther than you have been able to go, but hear me as I hear the Lord: there is hope for you from behind. There is success from behind.
As surely as the Lord lives, you are moving from the back to the front. You are moving from the place of obscurity to the place of prominence. You are moving from the place of the dejected and rejected to the place of the accepted. You are moving from the place where men have written you off to the place where you will be the toast of many. You are moving from the place where you were disadvantaged to the place of advantage.
The days of your stay at the backside are over. From the back, you are rising to your high places. From the back, you are moving into your place of distinction. From the place where no man gave you a chance, you are moving to your mega results. From the place where you were excluded from the place of importance, you are rising to become important. From the place of your small beginning, you are rising to the top.
If the woman with the issue of blood, in her weak state, after bleeding for twelve years, could come from behind, then you too have hope even if you are behind.
Psalm 18: 33 says: “He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.”
Declare With Me: I arise from the back; I overtake my overtakers, in Jesus’ name!
