MFM Devotional 19th March 2022 For Saturday | Dr D.K. Olukoya

We have established the fact the fruit of the Spirit is indispensable in the life of a Christian that desires to grow into maturity in Christ. It is equally important to state that it is our express identification document to enter heaven. In case you are surprised, read again and ponder deeply on our Fire Scripture especially verses 10and 11. Both speak on our spiritual growth and maturity, and finally a glorious entry into heaven

This clearly tells us that what qualifies a Christian as a heavenly candidate is not the volume of spiritual activities but the amount of Christlikeness inEhim. It takes this spiritual resemblance of Christ for a believer to enter into heaven These godly virtues must be actively developed in our lives then goes to confirm the fact that lack of the fruit of the Spirit would make one to lose eternity in heaven. Why? No entry shall be provided for such a person into the kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ:

Interesting but scary, you will agree with me that this is the truth about our Christian life, Christ in me the Hope of glory f heaven demands this much, my question, therefore, is: “How much of Christ is in you? Have you cultivated and are still cultivating more of the fruit of the Spirit?

Once is not enough to claim it The components of this fruit should evidently manifest in every area of your life: your thoughts, words and actions as well as in your relationships and all your endeavours. It is the manifestation of God’s presence in your life. It is an obvious reflection of Christ in you: His Nature, Personality and Character. You cannot claim to be His child yet differ in nature.

It is time you sat down and doa reflection over your spiritual life. Are you just doing the work of God without any attribute of the Owner of the work in you? Do you hear, even teach the word but you are not a doer? That is dangerous! The Bible implores us to be “Doers and not just Hearers” (James 1:21-25) Without much ado, it is required of you and me to possess and live according to these godly virtues if we must indeed become candidates of heaven.
