Bible Verse Reading for Monday 5th May 2025 – Philippians 1:12
“But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;”
Message:
What seemed like a setback for Paul was actually a setup for the advancement of God’s kingdom. Imprisoned and restricted, Paul could have focused on his suffering — but instead, he saw purpose in the pain. This verse reminds us that God is sovereign even in our trials. He doesn’t waste affliction; He redirects it for His glory. What you’re going through may look like delay or defeat, but heaven sees it as divine positioning. God is using every hardship, every closed door, and every opposition to push His purpose forward through your life. Trust that even in limitation, there is multiplication.
Other Bible Reference:
Romans 8:28 (KJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Prayer:
Sovereign Lord, Thank You for turning every trial into a testimony. When I can’t trace Your hand, help me to trust Your plan. Like Paul, let me see beyond the natural into the spiritual — to understand that what seems like a prison may be Your platform. Use every situation I face to advance Your gospel. Let my pain produce purpose, and let my story glorify You. Strengthen me to endure, and give me eyes to see that nothing is wasted in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
