Bible Verse Reading for Monday 7th April 2025 – James 1:22
Main Bible Verse
James 1:22 (NIV) “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
Opening Prayer
Gracious Father, Thank You for giving us access to Your Word—Your voice, Your guidance, and Your truth. As we come together to hear from You, open our hearts and minds to not only understand what You are saying but to also apply it in our daily lives. Let this time inspire us to live out our faith with authenticity and obedience.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Short Message
“Faith in Action” James 1:22 gives us a powerful challenge: Don’t just listen—do. It’s easy to hear the Word of God and feel encouraged in the moment, but true transformation happens when we apply it.
Listening without doing is self-deception. We might think we’re growing spiritually just because we attend church, read devotionals, or quote Scripture—but if we’re not letting God’s Word change our actions, we’re missing the point.
God wants more than just hearers; He’s looking for doers. People who love, forgive, serve, give, and walk in obedience—not just in speech, but in practice.
When we live the Word, we become reflections of Jesus in the world. Let’s move from being inspired to being activated.

1 John 3:18 – “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
Closing Prayer
Lord, Help us not to be passive listeners of Your Word but bold doers of it. Give us the courage to live out what You’ve taught us—even when it’s hard, even when it’s uncomfortable. Let our actions reflect our faith. May the world see Your love through how we live, speak, and serve. Strengthen us daily to walk in obedience and trust.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
