Bible Verse Reading for Saturday 3rd May 2025 – 2 Kings 21:2

“And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.”

Message:
Manasseh, despite being born into a godly legacy, chose to walk in the darkness of the nations God had already judged and removed. This verse is a solemn warning that spiritual heritage does not guarantee obedience. When we adopt the patterns of the world, we invite the same judgment that fell upon those who went before us. The presence of God cannot dwell where abominations are embraced. But this is also a call to repentance: no matter how far a nation or individual has fallen, God is merciful to those who turn back to Him. It’s time for the church and for leaders to reject compromise and rise in holiness once more.

Other Bible Reference:
Ezekiel 18:30 (KJV) “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.”

Prayer:
Righteous Father, Have mercy upon us for every way we have walked in the counsel of the ungodly and embraced the patterns You detest. Forgive us for trading Your truth for worldly influence. Raise up a remnant that will not compromise. Cleanse our altars, purify our hearts, and lead us back to You. May we not inherit judgment through disobedience but walk in restoration through repentance. Let a spirit of holiness sweep through our homes, churches, and nations. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
