Bible Verse Reading for Tuesday 6th May 2025 – 1 Peter 3:15-16
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.”
Message:
In a world filled with doubt, fear, and hostility toward truth, believers are called to be a living testimony of hope. Peter urges us to set Christ apart in our hearts as Lord — not just in word, but in how we live, respond, and represent Him. Your life may be the only gospel some people read. Being ready to explain your hope means your faith should be visible, consistent, and grounded in truth, not just emotion. But this defense of your faith must be clothed in humility and reverence. Even when falsely accused, your integrity and Christlike conduct should speak louder than any slander. This is not just a call to defend the faith — it is a call to embody it.
Other Bible Reference:
Matthew 5:16 (KJV) “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I sanctify You in my heart today. Be enthroned as Lord over my thoughts, my words, and my actions. Help me to live in such a way that my hope in You is evident to everyone around me. Give me wisdom to speak truth with love, courage to stand with integrity, and humility to respond with grace — even when falsely accused. Let my life reflect Your light and cause others to glorify You. Teach me to live with a pure conscience and a bold, unwavering witness for Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
