Bible Verse Reading for Wednesday 9th April 2025 – Joshua 1:8
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, We thank You for this day and for bringing us together in Your presence. As we reflect on Your Word, we ask that You open our hearts and minds. Teach us to value Your truth, to meditate on it continually, and to live according to Your will. Let Your Word guide our thoughts, our decisions, and our actions. May this time be fruitful and bring us closer to You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Short Message
In Joshua 1:8, God gives a powerful key to success—meditation on His Word. He tells Joshua, and us, that we must not only read the Scriptures but speak them, think about them constantly, and live by them. The promise is clear: when we align our lives with God’s Word, success and prosperity will follow—not just in worldly terms, but in spiritual depth, peace, and purpose.
This verse reminds us that success in God’s eyes comes through obedience, discipline, and constant connection to Him. We are encouraged to make the Bible a daily part of our lives—morning and night—so that God’s truth becomes the foundation of everything we do.
Bible Reference
Psalm 1:2-3 – “But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night…”

Closing Prayer
Lord God, Thank You for the truth of Your Word. Help us to hide it in our hearts and make it our daily meditation. May we not be hearers only, but doers of Your Word. Guide us into the kind of success that honors You—rooted in obedience, humility, and love. As we go forward, may Your Word light our path and strengthen our steps.
We trust in You, and we commit our ways into Your hands. In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
