Bible Verse: “But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.” — Romans 3:21 (NIV)

Meaning of Romans 3:21

Romans 3:21 marks a turning point in Paul’s message about salvation. After explaining that no one can become righteous before God through human effort or perfect obedience to the law, Paul reveals the good news: God’s righteousness is available through His grace.

This verse teaches that salvation is not earned by good works, religious activities, or human achievements. Instead, God has provided a way for people to be made right with Him through faith in Jesus Christ. The Law and the Prophets of the Old Testament pointed toward this promise, which was fully revealed through Christ.

As believers, we can rejoice knowing that our relationship with God is based on His mercy and righteousness, not on our own imperfect performance.
