Daily Devotion Monday 2nd June 2025 – The Fountain of Life
Main Scripture: Proverbs 14:27 (KJV)
“The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.”
Devotional Message:
This morning, God reminds us that the fear of the Lord is not something to be avoided, but something to be embraced. It is not about being afraid of God’s wrath, but living in holy reverence, honoring His presence, obeying His Word, and recognizing His authority.
The Bible calls the fear of the Lord a fountain of life—a constant, refreshing flow that sustains us, protects us, and leads us away from spiritual death. It acts like a divine compass, helping us avoid moral pitfalls, poor choices, and destructive paths.
In a world full of voices and distractions, walking in the fear of God helps you stay aligned with His purpose. Like Noah, Abraham, and Joseph, your decisions and actions will be governed by something greater than fear of man or love of gain—they will be driven by reverence for God.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a fountain of life to those who fear You. Teach me to walk daily in awe of Your holiness and to love what You love. Let Your fear be the compass that guides my heart, my speech, and my actions. Keep me from the snares of death, and help me to live wisely and righteously. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
