TODAY’S TOPIC: The Majestic God

TEXT: Psalm 76:1-12

KEY VERSE: “In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel. Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?” – (Psalm 76:1,7).

MESSAGE: DCLM Daily Manna 7 November 2019

One day, a baby of about two years old was seen playing on the road and no one was there to caution or even look after him. After some minutes, a vehicle passed that road and the driver without seeing the baby due to his stature ran over him and parked by to get some provisions from a nearby store. The baby stood up after the vehicle parked and continued playing without any trace of injury at all.

The children of Israel have spent 430 years in the land of Egypt and when the time came for their deliverance, God fought wondrously for them. Right from the ten plagues to the parting of the red sea accompanied with the death of Pharaoh and his men to the pillar of fire and cloud, miraculous provision of food, meat and water to the conquer of Jericho and many others were proofs to show the majesty of our great God!

The world today is a place full of people in search of power, wealth, career and fame amongst others. We as Christians are not to join the rat race of the world because we have a God who is all-Powerful and capable of giving us all the good things we need in life. The passcode to experiencing the majesty of God is to be righteous

We are counselled to embrace this majestic God and hand over our lives to him for proper security. Meanwhile God is also majestic in judgment, “… and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?” Remain in His pathway to life and you’ll be glad you did.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Our majestic and loving God is the surest Refuge
