Scripture: Proverbs 14:34 (KJV) – “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
Devotional Title: “The Foundation That Lifts a Nation”
In a world filled with political agendas, economic pressures, and social unrest, the Bible reminds us of a timeless truth: righteousness is what exalts a nation. No matter how advanced or powerful a country becomes, it cannot rise above the moral character of its people and leaders.
Righteousness means living in alignment with God’s standards — walking in truth, integrity, justice, and mercy. When individuals, families, and communities choose righteousness, it creates a ripple effect that lifts the spiritual and moral climate of the nation. On the other hand, unchecked sin, corruption, and compromise bring reproach, division, and instability.
As believers, we are called to be light and salt in our country. Our prayers, our example, and our pursuit of righteousness can influence the spiritual direction of the United States. Let us commit to living in a way that honors God and calls others higher.
