Those scars aren’t a sign that you’re finished; they’re a sign that you’ve been healed. They’re a sign that you’re ready to move forward. If God were through with you, you wouldn’t still be here. There’s something for you to do. You have an assignment. Somebody needs what you have. Somebody needs your love, somebody needs your smile, somebody needs your gifts. “Not me, Joel. I’ve been wounded; I have all these scars.” Everybody has scars. The scars don’t disqualify you; the scars prepare you. You learn from every experience.

Today’s Scripture: Mark 8:25, NIV
Once more Jesus put his hands on the man s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
Today’s Word
In Mark 8, Jesus was asked to heal a blind man. After Jesus initially put His hands on the man’s eyes, He asked the man if he could see. The man responded, Yes, but it’s not clear. Jesus put His hands on the man’s eyes a second time, and the man’s sight was completely restored. Why did Jesus do this twice? It was a test. The man could have said, It’s blurry, but I’m satisfied.
If he would have accepted it, he would have missed God’s best. What about the dreams you’ve given up on? God already knew what wouldn’t work out the first time the promotion, the relationship, the medical report. As He did with this man, He’s waiting to see if you settle for the blurred vision. Don’t give up on what God put in your heart. He has a second touch.
The first touch got you to where you are. The second touch is going to push you into abundance, into divine health, into great relationships, and into the fullness of your destiny.
Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for Your first touch of grace and helping me get to where I am. Thank You for being the God of second touches that pushes me into abundance. I declare that I will not miss out on Your best by settling for what didn’t work out. In Jesus Name, Amen.
