Don’t go through life letting other people put their names on you. They’ll try to name you addicted, struggling, but God names you free, whole, clean. They will name you average, mediocre, limited. God names you exceptional, one of a kind, masterpiece. People may name you washed up, too many mistakes, but God names you forgiven, redeemed, restored.
The scripture says, “Your word, oh Lord, is like fire shut up in my bones.” The promises God put in you, the dreams, they’re like fire shut up inside of you. Here’s the key, you can’t put that fire out. You can push it down; you can ignore it. It can get buried under discouragement, under rejection, under mistakes, but that fire is still burning. You know what I’m doing today? I’m fanning the flame. I’m stirring up what’s already in you. I believe that flame is growing. You’re about to see a dream that you’ve buried come to pass. God’s about to do something unusual.
