Paul said in Ephesians, “Having done all to stand.” He was saying when you’ve done everything you can—you’ve done your best to get well, you’ve treated people good that weren’t good to you, you worked hard but the promotion fell through—what do you do? Give up, get discouraged, think it’s not going to happen. No, just stand.
Standing is trusting God, knowing that He’s in control. You’re not moved by how long it’s taking, you’re not moved by what the medical report says, you’re not moved by how your child is acting. You’re steadfast, you keep believing, you keep thanking God, you keep being your best.

When you tell God what you can’t do, “God, I can’t get well. You saw the report. I can’t start my business; I’m not that talented. I can’t do something significant; I come from the wrong family.” God says to you what He said to Moses, “Who made you? Who wrote your story? Who gave you your gifts, who picked out your family, who planned out your days?”
The Creator of the universe, the God who spoke worlds into existence, He’s your author. He’s written your story. You’re not doing life on your own. Go back to what He says about you.
