Today’s Topic: The Treasure of a Mother’s Heart
Scripture: I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. – 2 Timothy 1:5, NIV
Today’s Word
It’s interesting that the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, a young man who had great courage and integrity, that his strong faith came through the influence of his mother and grandmother. I’m sure they had days when they wondered about young Timothy and whether what they were doing mattered. But those women kept investing in him, praying for him, being an example of faith to him, and their impact led to a lasting legacy. Proverbs 31 talks about the woman who honors the Lord and says, “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”
Today, we rise up and bless the mothers and all the godly women who set examples to so many. Remember, whether you are a mother or not, you can have a mother’s heart that encourages, inspires, and invests in the lives of the people around you. Know that with every hug, every prayer, every encouraging word, and every tear, you are making a difference and impacting future generations. There’s nothing on earth like the treasure of a mother’s heart.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for putting in my heart this desire to nurture and inspire others’ faith, especially within my own family. Thank You for working in my life and causing my faith to be established. Help me to invest in the lives of the people around me and make an impact on future generations. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: What if what’s limiting you is not your circumstances, not other people, not how you were raised, but how you see yourself? What would happen if your vision cleared and you started seeing yourself for who you really are: a son, a daughter of the Most High God? You have greatness in you. You were created to reign in life, to be healthy, strong, confident, valuable, to accomplish dreams, to overcome obstacles. Get rid of that grasshopper image and see yourself the way God sees you.
You may be where David was, things have come against you in your health, your finances, your children. You’re tired of fighting. It seems like you’re stuck. God is saying to you what He said to David. He’s about to supercharge your life. He’s about to do something out of the ordinary. He’s not going to let you stay stuck. One version of this passage says, “He fills your life with good things.” Something good is coming, something unexpected. The reason it’s taking longer is it’s going to be better than you think. It’s going to be more rewarding. When you see what God is up to, it’s going to breathe new life into your spirit, new passion for what’s in front of you. You’re going to feel stronger, more passionate, have greater vision.
