Today’s Topic: A Trouble Tree
Scripture: This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. – Psalm 34:6, ESV
Today’s Word
We all have to deal with stress and pressure, but you need to create a joyful atmosphere in your home. Don’t bring in negativity from the outside. Don’t bring in pressures from work or stress from school or the offense from what somebody said. Your home needs to be a retreat from all the negative things you have to deal with during the day. There is a man who has a tree in a pot next to his back door. He was walking in with a friend, and he stopped and touched the tree.
His friend asked him what he was doing. He said, “That’s my trouble tree. I leave all my troubles on this plant. I don’t take any worry inside. I leave the problems, the stress, the disappointments, the offenses at the door.” Are you living stressed out, somber, uptight, on edge? If you bring in worry and stress and strife, that’s going to weigh you and your family down. Get a trouble tree and make the change today. Leave the negative outside. Make sure your home is a joyful place.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that no matter what my circumstances are that I don’t have to live stressed and frustrated and bring it home to my loved ones. Thank You that You are a very present help in trouble and that I can leave it with You. I will choose joy because You are my refuge and strength. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: In the natural, it may be impossible for you to get well. The laws of medical science say there’s no way. The good news is someone is riding with you that supersedes those laws. God can do what medicine cannot do. He made your body. He can bring healing where there’s no explanation, where it doesn’t make sense. But if you just focus on the natural, logical, your ability, what the experts say, you’re going to live limited. Because there will be giants you can’t overcome, dreams you can’t accomplish.
Doubt will come, discouragement that will cause you to shrink back. You have to remind yourself, who’s riding with you. You’re not in that car, so to speak, by yourself. Jesus took the wheel. The Most High God is ordering your steps. The reason you can break the law is the law is riding with you. The God who controls the universe. He’s not limited by the laws of nature, the laws of finance, the laws of the economy. He makes streams in the desert.
