Today’s Topic: The Power of His Resurrection

Scripture: But the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!” Mark 16:6, NLT

Today’s Word
Today we celebrate the resurrection day of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In the first light of dawn on that morning, as three women approached the tomb where His crucified body had been lain, they were shocked to see that the stone guarding its entrance had been rolled away.

And even far better, they witnessed an empty tomb, an angel, and the amazing news that Jesus had risen from the dead just as He promised! Nothing is more amazing or significant than the power of God displayed at the resurrection of our Savior. This is what separates our faith from any other on earth.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins on the cross. He lived a perfect and sinless life and gave it as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. And when all hope seemed to be gone, Jesus miraculously overcame sin and death and came to life again. What this means is: When we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we are completely forgiven…for anything…for everything…forever!

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for Jesus’ resurrection and triumph over the grave and all the forces of sin and darkness. Thank You that He made the ultimate sacrifice for the forgiveness of my sins. I am believing and receiving Your life and victory that sets me free. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

You’re the one to do great things, to set a new standard, to take your family to a new level, but you don’t recognize who you are. When we’re always looking to others, always counting on someone else, it’s because we’re overlooking what God put in us. There is greatness in you; there is leadership in you. There is talent, wisdom, creativity, potential in you. Don’t overlook yourself.

Don’t discount who you are, thinking everyone else is talented. “They can deliver us from this army; they can get me out; they can go further.” No, God has destined you to do something awesome. He’s destined you to leave your mark.

God sees what’s limiting you. He sees what is causing you heartache, how you’re doing the right thing when it’s hard, how you’re being your best when nothing is improving. You can’t change it. It’s out of your control. That’s when God, in His mercy, will step in and say, “Enough is enough. Let Me do what only I can do.” Medicine may not be able to do it. People may not be able to help you.

You’ve done what you can in the natural, but God is supernatural. One touch of His favor and everything will change. One touch of His healing, one touch of His provision, one touch of His goodness and, like the Israelites, you’ll be unquestionably free.
