TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: Victory in Christ is not a zero-sum game. When we follow Jesus, we bring blessing on ourselves, our family, and everyone around us.
It’s easy to get stuck in life. When we’ve gone through disappointments, had a setback, tried something and the dream didn’t work out, we can settle where we are and think this is as good as it gets. But God said in Isaiah, “I am doing a new thing, even now, it springs forth. Can you not perceive it?” God is about to do something new in your life. He didn’t create you to get stuck at one level and stay there. He has new opportunities, new relationships, new favor.
The scripture says, “You can’t please God without faith.” That’s a powerful principle. You can give, you can love, you can help the poor, you can volunteer, those things are all great. We should do them. But, if you’re not believing for things bigger than you can accomplish on your own, if you’re not expecting difficulties to turn around, if you’re not anticipating new levels, and thanking God that He’s opening doors you can’t open, thanking Him that He’s bringing promises to pass, then you’re not releasing your faith. You have to stir up what God put in your heart.
