Today’s Topic: Stand the Test
Scripture: Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. – James 1:12, ESV
Today’s Word
We all go through times of testing when unfair things happen, when doors close, when it feels as though God has forgotten about us. No, He still sees you doing the right thing when it’s hard. He sees you praising when you could be complaining. He sees you at work being your best when you’re not getting the credit. He sees the lonely nights and the tears from what’s breaking your heart. But you’re still serving, still giving, still being good to people.
If you’ve been struggling a long time, be encouraged. “When you have passed the test, you will receive the victor’s crown of life.” Victory is coming. Favor is coming. Ease is coming. God is about to shift some things—from borrowing to lending, from being stuck to being promoted, from mourning to dancing, from sorrow to joy. That victor’s crown is on the way. Now keep being faithful. Keep doing the right thing when you’re uncomfortable. You don’t understand it, but it’s building character in you. It’s getting you prepared for the amazing favor He has in store.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You are using the pressure of challenges and temptations to make me stronger and grow me up. Thank You that every test of my faith is preparing me to overcome and persevere, to go higher and increase me. I believe I will receive the victor’s crown that You have promised. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
If you knew who God was speaking to on your behalf, you wouldn’t live worried, thinking you’re stuck. “The problem is too big, my child is never going to get on course, I don’t have enough votes for my plan.” I can assure you, God is talking about you to the people you need, people that will thrust you into your purpose. You’re concerned about who you’re going to meet, who you’re going to marry. “Do I have the connections?” Stay in peace. God has it figured out. He’s talking to the people you need. Keep honoring Him, and He’ll bring the people that are instrumental for your destiny. You’re not doing this on your own. God is working behind the scenes.
God is faithful. Don’t let the lack of evidence convince you that nothing is happening. In the unseen realm, things are changing in your favor. Forces that have stopped you in the past have been broken. The roots have been cut off of that depression, that addiction, that sickness. It may look like it’s alive, nothing has changed, but stay in faith. It’s just a matter of time and you’re going to see what God promised.
