Today’s Word
In Psalm 23, David says that God is with us when we go through dark valleys. You may be in a valley right now fighting a battle in your health, in your finances, in a troubled relationship. God knows how to cause refreshing streams to spring up in your valleys. He can turn that battle into a blessing. It wasn’t sent to harm you; it was sent to increase you. You need to get ready. It’s not going to stay a valley of defeat.
It’s about to turn to a valley of victory. What you think is a valley of disappointment, loss, or heartache, God is going to turn into a valley of new beginnings and greater fulfillment. Or perhaps you’re in a valley of sickness. You could easily be discouraged and settle where you are. Take heart. It’s going to turn into a valley of health and greater strength. God is with you in the valley. Just stay in faith, trusting that He knows what’s best, and you can be certain He will send you refreshing streams. He will work it to your advantage.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You are with me in every dark valley that I walked through. Thank You that the valleys are only temporary and that I just need to walk in faith through it. I believe that where You lead me will take me to refreshing streams and restoration. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Get in agreement with God. Declare, “God is my vindicator. God is fighting my battles.” Promotion doesn’t come from people, it comes from Lord. The Scripture says, “Touch not My anointed.” You’re His anointed. God being for you is more than anything coming against you. We all have opposition, we all have things that are not fair, but you need to see yourself as an overcomer, as more than a conqueror, as the victor and not the victim.
Is fear of other people’s opinions holding you back? Are you sacrificing who you are because you’re addicted to approval, worried about what everyone thinks? This is your day to be free. God is doing a new thing. Where He’s about to take you is going to take boldness and courage to break out of the mold. Everyone is not going to understand. Some people won’t give you their approval. That’s okay. You’re not a Saul; you’re a David. You’re not living to please people; you’re living to please God.
