There may be things in your life right now that you’re disappointed over, that weren’t fair, you don’t understand them. One day, you’re going to look back and say, “It had to happen. They had to say no; Judas had to betray me; my brothers had to throw me into the pit; the door had to close; the person had to walk away; the storm had to come.” All these things had to go wrong so you could get to the right place. It’s not just a detour; it’s a divine detour. It’s the hand of God ordering your steps.
If that person who walked away could stop your destiny, they would be more powerful than God. If that betrayal, that disappointment, that closed door could keep you from your purpose, then it would be stronger than God. Yes, it was wrong. I’m not saying it wasn’t hurtful. I know it didn’t feel good, but you have to understand that it’s leading you to a right. It’s not random; it’s strategic. It’s not the enemy. It’s the hand of God leading you into something more amazing than you’ve ever imagined.
God uses the wrongs. There will be delays, setbacks, things you don’t understand. You’ll be tempted to fight, get upset, live frustrated, “God, where are You?” No, God is saying, “Put down your sword. Quit fighting everything you don’t like. Quit being frustrated by the wrongs.” God is in control. All those wrongs, I can assure you, they’re leading you to a right. You have to get through the wrongs to see the awesome things God has in store.
