When someone is rude, when they’re offensive, don’t take it personally. It’s not about you; it’s their own struggles on the inside. They don’t like themselves, that’s why they don’t like you. They’re upset over things that have nothing to do with you; you just happened to enter their story when they’re blowing off steam. Stay oiled up and move on. None of that will stop your destiny, unless you get distracted and start fighting battles that don’t matter, trying to pay people back instead of letting God be your vindicator.

People in your family line may have put you at a disadvantage, you’re dealing with the consequences of their actions, hardships that you didn’t earn. God knows what wasn’t fair. He knows when you’re carrying burdens put on you by others. That’s why He said, “I’m going to remove the reproach. I’m going to take off of you what doesn’t belong to you. I’m going to free you from what you had nothing to do with.” He’s not holding you responsible for these battles that you didn’t choose. He sees you doing the right thing when it’s hard. He sees the struggle, the loneliness, the injustice. That may be what you inherited, but that’s not how your story ends. God’s about to remove some things.
