Joyce Meyer Devotional Message For 25th October 2025
Topic: God Is My Portion
Scripture: And the Lord said to Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in the land [of the Israelites], neither shall you have any part among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the Israelites. — Numbers 18:20 (AMPC)
I remember a time when I was weary of working all the time and seemingly getting nothing out of it except fatigue. I was working for God, but I said to Him, “When will I get something for myself out of this?” He answered, saying, “I am your portion; you get Me!” Of course, we all have God. He wants a special relationship with each of us, but in today’s scripture, God says Aaron will receive no portion of the Promised Land, but that God Himself would be his portion.
God did eventually do many wonderful things for me, but I believe He tested me to see if I could be content with Him alone as my portion in life. Could you be content with that? Sometimes the more things we have, the more they take us away from God. The psalmist writes, My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever (Psalm 73:26 NIV). Whatever portion God gives to you, be sure to enjoy it and realize that He always does what is best for us. What we have may vary in different seasons of life but always know that God is our Provider and will give us what we can handle.
Prayer of the Day: Lord, I trust You to give me what You know is best for me. You are my portion and my strength, and that is more important than anything else. Teach me to be content in You alone and I know You will provide exactly what I need in every season, amen.
