1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:

4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

6 Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

15 Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.

16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

MFM Devotional For Today 25th February 2023 MESSAGE:

The Bible is full of illustrious male and female characters whose lives were very impactful and exemplary. As believers today, we would do ourselves a world of good to learn from these heroes and heroines of faith. One of such noble characters is a woman called Phoebe.

Phoebe was one of the women in the Bible that demonstrated steadfast faith in God. Her faith in God moved people to become better versions of themselves. Apostle Paul trusted her so much that he sent her to another church to encourage others to be faithful to God as she was Her light shined so brightly that other people could see it and emulated her. She was of good behaviour and very supportive of the ministry; she also touched people’s lives across board She was very helpful to the ministry in every way she could be. She was displaying her godly character and amiable nature both inside and outside the church. She was the literal definition of her name “shining”. She was an example of how Christians should conduct themselves in the house of God and in the community.

Beloved, we should emulate this stable and consistent godly conduct of Phoebe, wherever she was, making positive impact in the lives of both believers and unbelievers. Being a believer is not only about serving God and being saved alone. Rather, it is about being the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Let believers and unbelievers see you and glorify God. You should be a good example of Christ to everyone. Your life should witness for Christ everywhere in the world.

Dearly beloved, like Phoebe, encourage others to live the life that pleases God and makes your community, church, nation and the world at large better. I pray that God will give you the grace to live this exemplary life, as Phoebe did, in the name of Jesus.
