TODAY’S TOPIC: BALANCE YOUR ACCOUNT

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 18:23-24; 1 Corinthians 4:1 (KJV)

Matthew 18:23-24:
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

1 Corinthians 4:1:
1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

MEMORY VERSE: “Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?” – Nehemiah 5:9

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: When God wants to make you an instrument of achieving an uncommon feat, He will give you dreams which you will find hard to forget.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: EVERY BINDING POWER THAT HAS BEEN ASSIGNED AGAINST YOU SHOULD BITE THEMSELVES TO DEATH.

MESSAGE: MFM Daily Devotional 2nd May 2020

Accountants spend a great deal of time keeping financial records. They do not want to be caught unawares or be found guilty of any form of error. Everyone who lives on earth will one day be told to give an account of his life. The account must be honest and thorough. Any error will be unacceptable.

All the certificates and awards that a person might have acquired become useless, once the person is dead. These are the “shakables” that shall be shaken away.

No amount of suffering on earth here can compare to hell fire. Sometime ago, somebody called me on the phone and she was crying, saying: “Dr. Olukoya, pray for me, I don’t want to die.” “What happened?” I asked her. She said: “I used to sleep with men who gave me contracts.

But recently, I promised God that I will never do it again and that if I do, He should kill me. But you see, I have done it again. So, please, pray for me, I don’t want to die.” I told her that she was already dead, already she was dead in sin. I told her that I didn’t know what God would do with her since it was her own volition that she made a vow to God that He should kill her if she committed that sin again.

So many people are like that. It would be better for that sister to die as a pauper and go to heaven than to be rich and go to hell. Although believers are not supposed to die as paupers, it is better for you to die as a pauper than to be rich and end up in hell fire.

So, you better think about this and do a true and honest scriptural balancing of your life’s account. It is terrible to know that some people are preparing themselves for hell fire. You must do everything you can to give a good account at the end of life. Heaven will check every record tendered. Take a sober look at your life today and make necessary amends. Settle your account with God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 18-22
