TOPIC: THE WEAPON OF PESTILENCE

Fire Scripture: Revelation 19:11; Exodus 5:3; 1 Chronicles 21:14; Psalm 91:3

TODAY’S OUTLINE: MFM Daily Devotional 30th September 2020

Warfare is an integral part of our lives. You must fight, if you want to savour the joy of victory. Any weapon that has been manufactured by God is for a purpose. God does not joke with His weapons. He knows the particular goal that each of His weapons will accomplish. The weapon of pestilence is a weapon of destruction.

Pestilence is not a weapon that can descend upon the enemy and there will be no noticeable casualty. In one instance, in the Scripture, God sent pestilence and seventy thousand people died. The Bible describes pestilence as noisome. In other words, pestilence will create negative waves. The purpose of pestilence is to destroy. It is a vehicle of destruction to convey divine judgment. Those who are attacked by this weapon will reap total destruction.

It is most appropriate weapon to use against the spirit of Pharaoh. It is also a fitting weapon against the power of Herod. You need to make use of this weapon when you are swimming against the tide and when powers that bite without remnant are almost swallowing you up. When pestilence descends upon evil powers working against you, they will let you go.

When used against demons that have swallowed your virtue, they will vomit it. Your victory will remain unchallenged. Your testimony will be overwhelming.

Memory Verse: Proverbs 6:5 “Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.”

Motivational Quote: The devil’s strategy centres on concealing the hook somewhere within a very powerful bait.

Prophetic Word: Every problem that has entered into anybody’s life from the dream shall be destroyed, in the name of Jesus.

HYMN: HOLY, HOLY, HOLY! LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Who was, and is, and evermore shall be.

Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy Name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy; merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
