RCCG OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS MONDAY 31ST MAY 2021 DEVOTIONAL WRITTEN BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE
MEMORIZE: For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing he deceiveth himself. Galatians 6:3
BIBLE READING: 2 CORINTHIANS 13:5
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 31 MAY 2021 MESSAGE
A student goes through some sort of quarterly or yearly evaluation through tests and examinations, in order to ascertain how well he or she has fared in a subject before moving to the next level.
As a child of God who hopes to become better and reach greater heights, you must constantly evaluate yourself either by accepting peoples honest evaluation of you and working on your weaknesses.
Some teenagers ignore or hide from self-evaluation; this ought not to be.
When you evaluate yourself from time to time, it shows you are humble and ready to improve.
Never get too comfortable particularly at any level spiritually, there is always room for improvement and this can only happen when you evaluate yourself in line with Gods word daily.
Any Christian who does this will not be caught unawares by rapture.
Today’s memory verse encourages that you should evaluate yourself often because it will protect you from thinking that you are something when you are not.
KEY POINT: Examine yourself daily to know whether you are still in the faith.
BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: 2 CHRONICLES 1:1-17, 2:1-18, 3:1-17, JOHN 12:1-50
