TEENS DEVOTIONAL OPEN HEAVEN FOR 7 NOVEMBER 2021

TOPIC: JUDGING OTHERS

Read: James 2:13
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

Open Heaven 7 November 2021 Sunday | Memorise:

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.” Matthew 7:1

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Many people judge themselves periodically but judge others consistently. While they are mild on themselves and make excuses for their own actions, they are hard on others and make no room for them. It’s an act of wickedness when you judge others by their actions but judge yourself by your intention. For instance, Lady A castigated lady B for forgetting her Bible at home during service, she said that lady B had become forgetful of the things of God and was now tilting towards worldliness.

But some days after, lady A got angry at a fellow church member to the point of exchanging slaps. Thus, between ladies A and B, who is actually worldly?Don’t be quick to judge others because God, the Ultimate Judge is watching you so that He can also use the same yardstick you have used for others to judge you (Matthew 7:2 ). If you dont give others a second chance, you may not get another chance yourself.

Point: If you dont show mercy, do not think people are wicked when they fail to show you mercy.

AMAZING GRACE

1. Amazing grace!
how sweet the sound!
That saved a wretch like me;
I once was lost,
but now am found,
was blind, but now I see.

2. ‘Twas grace that taught
my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

3. Through many dangers,
toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis grace that brought
me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

4. Yes, when this heart and flesh
shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
