Truly, no matter how you try to stay sane, some people will still try to annoy you. However, there is no justification for uncontrolled outbursts or actions to express ones anger. This is why the Bible says that anger resteth in the bosom of fools (Ecclesiastes 7:9 ). Whenever I see a believer lash out loudly or do things in retaliation to the hurt done to him/her, I wonder if the fellow has truly given place to the Holy Spirit in his/her life.

I used to get very angry when provoked, until God told me that if I truly wanted more of His anointing, I had to work on myself. It is not a sin to feel offended about something, but when you allow that hurtful feeling to rest in your bosom (heart), youre gradually drifting into foolishness.

This was why God punished Moses. It started from when he got angry with the people for worshipping a golden calf. Thereafter, he struck the rock against Gods instruction and this brought grave consequences to him.It can really be tough to get over this work of the flesh but by the help of the Holy Spirit, you can control your responses to situations from now.

Point: Whenever you’re angry, calm down and say nothing.

Bible in One Year: Luke 21:1-38, 2 Samuel 17:1-29, 2 Samuel 18:1-33
