Prayer Before Reading
Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart, seeking wisdom and understanding as I read Your Word. Open my eyes to see the truth, my heart to receive it, and my spirit to grow in faith. May this time in Your presence strengthen my trust in You, even in the unseen. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Message
Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as the foundation of our hope and the assurance of things we cannot yet see. It reminds us that faith is not just wishful thinking but a confident trust in God’s promises. Even when circumstances seem uncertain, our faith anchors us in His truth. Faith enables us to believe in His goodness, even when we don’t see immediate results.
Lessons from Hebrews 11:1
1. Faith is the foundation of our hope – It is the confidence we have in God’s promises, even when they haven’t yet come to pass.
2. Faith goes beyond sight – It is trusting in God’s plan even when we cannot physically see the outcome.
3. Faith pleases God – Throughout Hebrews 11, we see examples of people who lived by faith and were commended by God.
4. Faith strengthens perseverance – It helps us endure trials, knowing that God’s promises will be fulfilled in His perfect timing.
5. Faith leads to action – True faith moves us to obedience and trust in God’s direction for our lives.
