Our Daily Devotion For 23rd May 2025 Friday
Title: “The Word Was God”
Main Scripture: John 1:1 (KJV) “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Devotional Message:
Before anything came into being—before time began or matter existed—the Word was already there. This verse declares the eternal existence, divine identity, and intimate fellowship of Jesus Christ. He is the Word—God’s perfect expression, both with God and God Himself.
This truth is foundational. Jesus is not a created being or a secondary divine figure—He is fully God, co-eternal with the Father. When we encounter the Word, we encounter God Himself.
And the wonder doesn’t stop there: this Word became flesh (John 1:14), entered our world, and revealed the glory and grace of God in a way we could see, touch, and follow. Every time we read Scripture, we’re not just gaining knowledge—we’re beholding Christ.
Today, let this verse anchor your faith. No matter what changes in the world, the Word remains eternal and unshaken. Draw near to Him. Spend time in His Word. Let the divine life that was in the beginning shape your day.

Colossians 1:16–17 (KJV) “For by him were all things created… and by him all things consist.”
Revelation 19:13 (KJV) “And his name is called The Word of God.”

Prayer:
Eternal Word, Thank You for being with God and for being God from the very beginning. I stand in awe of Your eternal majesty and Your willingness to dwell among us. As I open the Scriptures today, let me encounter not just words, but You, the Living Word. Shape my thoughts, fill my heart, and let my life reflect Your truth. In Your holy name, Jesus, Amen.
