Our Daily Devotion For 8th May 2025 Message
Title: The God Who Sees You
Scripture: “She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’” — Genesis 16:13 (NIV)
Reflection:
Hagar, a servant, alone in the wilderness and pregnant, felt rejected and invisible. Yet in that barren place, God found her—not to condemn, but to comfort. He revealed Himself not just as mighty or sovereign, but as El Roi—the God who sees.
There are moments in life when we feel overlooked, forgotten, or discarded. But the God of Scripture is not distant. He sees you. He sees your struggle to stay faithful, your quiet sacrifices, your tears at night. Nothing escapes His notice.
Today, let this truth steady your heart: you are seen. You are not hidden in the crowd. You are not lost in the noise of the world. The God who sees is also the God who redeems, restores, and responds.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being the God who sees me. Even when others overlook me, You never lose sight of me. Help me to rest in the assurance that I am known and valued by You. Let Your eyes of compassion lead me into hope and healing today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that I am not invisible to heaven. El Roi sees me, knows me, and is working on my behalf. Every hidden hurt is being healed, and divine attention is turning my story around. I walk in the confidence of one fully seen by God!
