Our Daily Devotion For 9th May 2025 Message
Title: Faith Over Feelings
Scripture:
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)
Reflection:
Feelings are real, but they aren’t always reliable. They shift with circumstances, moods, and even the weather. But faith—true, God-rooted faith—is anchored in the unchanging character of God. That’s why Scripture calls us to walk by faith, not by sight.
Sight says, “This looks impossible.”
Faith says, “With God, all things are possible.”
Sight sees the storm.
Faith sees the One who walks on water.
Today, you may not feel strong, encouraged, or full of hope—but faith isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision to trust God even when your emotions beg to differ. Let faith lead, and feelings will eventually follow.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You for the gift of faith. Strengthen me today to trust in what You have said more than what I see or feel. Help me to anchor my hope in Your Word and not in my emotions. I choose to believe You, even in the dark. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prophetic Declaration:
I decree that my faith is rising above my feelings. I am not led by fear, doubt, or discouragement. I walk by faith, and doors of destiny are opening before me. My emotions shall submit to the authority of God’s truth, in Jesus’ name!
