TODAY’S TOPIC: IT WILL BACKFIRE
SCRIPTURE: “Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.” (1 Samuel 17: 51)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
It is instructive to observe that when it was time for David to cut off the head of Goliath, he used the same sword that Goliath brought to the battlefield. What Goliath brought to work against David, turned around and worked against him. What he wanted to use and fight against David, was eventually used against him. The arrangement that Goliath made to cut off the heads of the children of Israel, backfired on him.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: whatever arrangements that the ‘Goliaths’ of this world have made against you, it will turn against them. Every weapon that the ‘Goliaths’ of this world have unleashed against you will backfire on them. Every arrangement that men have made to work against you, it will turn around and work against them. Every conspiracy that men have made to bring you down, it will turn around and bring them down.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: any man that has dug a pit for you will fall into the pit they dug for you. Any man that has arisen to take you down will be the one to go down. Any man who has arranged to make you a victim will turn around and become the victim of their evil arrangement. Any man who has conspired to work evil against you will receive the evil they plotted against you in seven fold. The sword of your Goliath will backfire.
On the flipside, ensure that you do not become the Goliath that is plotting against others, otherwise the evil plans you make against them will backfire on you. The same way you pray that the plans of your haters will backfire on them, that is the same way those you hate and are plotting against, are praying that your evil plots backfire on you. Do not be that one that will sow the seeds that will backfire and birth your own downfall.
Welcome to that season where the swords of your ‘Goliaths’ will backfire on them. Welcome to that season where you must not become a Goliath to others.
Proverbs 26: 27 says: “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.”
