Without vision, most of the great people we see in Scripture would not have become anything.
Vision is vehicle for destiny
Every great destiny happens as a product of great vision (Hos. 4:6; Prov. 29:18)
Vision is a major bedrock of man’s destiny
Men and women of great destinies were men and women of great vision

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF THE CONNECTION BETWEEN VISION AND DESTINY:
1. Abraham (Gen. 13:14-15; 15:5; 17:5)
Literally, Abraham saw the place his generation would inherit almost 450years before they stepped into that land
In the journey of vision, the most important thing is not where you are but what you can see
Vision gives you pictures (Gen. 15:5)
When Abraham needed more of God’s expansion of the vision, God changed his name (Gen. 17:5)
God used both words and pictures to expand the mind of Abraham
2. David (1Sam. 17:43-51)
Like David, never allow the enemy to have the final say – be the last one to speak, especially when your destiny is being decided!
Don’t make plans according to what you have in your hands, make plans according to what you have in your heart and what you have in your heart will put what you need into your hands
For some, what you need is still in the hands of the enemy and it takes vision to seize it
3. Jacob (Gen. 30:37-40)
Jacob painted the picture of what he wanted in front of the animals of Laban
When you are a person of vision, you are a victor over opposition
If you can see it no wicked boss, economy or biology can stop you
4. Our Master Jesus (John 18:37; 10:10; Heb. 12:2)
Our Master Jesus was the epitome of vision
If you can see there, no devil can keep you here
If Jesus the Master needed vision to succeed then you need vision
5. Joseph (Gen. 37:5-7; 9-10; 41:39-44; 50:25)
Joseph saw his future before that future ever came to pass
Vision is the driver of destiny
If the devil can’t stop you from seeing it, no devil can stop you from seizing it
Nothing fuels hope life vision
Vision is the booster of hope and the energizer of expectation
6. Paul the apostle (Acts 26:19; 20:24)
Paul the apostle caught a heavenly vision and that vision enabled him to fulfil his destiny
If you move things in your generation, you are not easily moved by things
WHAT IS VISION ALL ABOUT?
1. Vision is man’s insight into God’s purpose for him or her (Jer. 1:5)
2. Vision is the mental picture of expected future (Prov. 4:23; Jer. 29:11)
When the end you expect is a picture in your mind, it is called vision
3. Vision is a clear definition of life’s destination (Hab. 2:1-3; Prov. 4:18)
An understanding of where your life is going is called vision
4. Vision is a pre-play of life’s adventure
When you maintain your focus on history you remain outdated, antiquated, outmoded
Instead of replaying the past, especially a negative past, determine to pre-play the future
5. Vision is today’s dream of tomorrow’s realities (Gen. 37:5-7)
6. Vision is the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom (Eph. 3:20)
WHAT IS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN VISION AND DESTINY?
1. The dream or vision of today is the reality of tomorrow (Gen. 37:9-10; 41:39-44)
If it must be reality tomorrow, it must be vision today
2. What you don’t see coming will never come (1Sam. 17:45-51)
If anything must come your way you must see it coming
3. Life turns in the direction of vision (Prov. 4:23)
If you don’t like the direction your life is facing you can turn it by vision
4. What does not cross your mind may never cross your life (Eph. 3:20)
If it must occur for you, it must occur to you
Allow things that are beyond your own imagination to pass through your mind
5. The blank mind equals a blank future; the blank mind equals a bleak future (Gen. 13:14-15)
If your mind is not empty your future and destiny can never be empty
6. You cannot see tomorrow and be trapped in today (Gen. 41:14; Heb. 12:2)
To see tomorrow is to reach tomorrow

When the Holy Ghost comes on you, visions and dreams will be natural (Joel 2:28)
7. For anything to be within your reach, they must be within your view (Isa. 14:27)
What you can see determines what you can touch
If it is not visible then it is not tangible
8. To leave life to chance is to be without a chance (Eph. 3:20)
9. Life must be lived inside out not outside in (Prov. 4:23)
The inner condition of your mind will determine the outward situation of your life
If you don’t like your environment then change your ‘invironment’
10. To run out of vision is to run out of motion, action and manifestation (Hab. 2:2-3)
11. What you realise is at the mercy of what you visualize; what you capture is at the mercy of what you picture (Jer. 1:11-12; Gen. 13:14-15)
12. Everything in life happens twice – first in the realm of the unseen, then in the realm of the seen
Things happen twice – first in the realm which is not visible, then in the realm that is visible
13. What you get out of life is determined by what you see out of life (Gen. 13:14-15)
You can never get out of life beyond what you see out of life because what God gives is determined by what man sees
14. With vision, everywhere and anywhere is good enough as a starting point (Gen. 13:14-15)
It is not where you are that matters but what you can see from where you are
15. Where you face determines where you end (John 18:37)
The road you follow determines where you end
16. Where you see yourself is where you will find yourself (Gen. 41:14)
If you can see yourself there, it is only a matter of time before you will find yourself there
Nothing enhances preparation like vision
Opportunities never meet men and women of vision unprepared
If where you are now is where you don’t like, don’t see yourself there; see yourself where you want to find yourself
17. If you move inward by vision, you will move outward in motion (Gen. 13:14-15)
You cannot move forward inside and stand still outside – James Allen
If it happens inside, it must follow outside
18. If you have the sense to focus on the ultimate, you will have the strength to surmount the immediate. (Heb. 12:2)
THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE HOLY SPIRIT AND VISION:
1. The Holy Spirit releases visions and dreams into the hearts or minds of the saints (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17)
2. The Holy Spirit empowers vision and translates it into reality (Eph. 3:20; Luke 1:35)
The Holy Spirit takes the vision, powers it and then makes it come to pass
PRAYERS
Father, thank You for Your Word to us today. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, I make demands on the release of the Spirit upon my life. I receive today what You have in store for me, let it drop Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, thank You for Your goodness and mercies. I come before You today and make demands on the help of the Spirit, the release of the Spirit and the Hand of God. Holy Spirit, touch me afresh today, quicken my vision, and empower my dreams unto reality, in Jesus’ Name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– God is about to expand your vision; where you are now is just the beginning of where you are meant to be!
– Very shortly, those mocking you will see your making by God!
– Every battle that you came to church with this morning – be it a health, financial, marital, or spiritual battle, it shall be terminated this morning!

– In a short while from now, something will enter your hands that will amaze you and amaze your generation!
– What the devil expects for you or your children is never going to come to pass!
– God is going to take you to the place that is far beyond what anyone around you has ever seen or experienced!
– Every spirit of confusion and emptiness of heart, today, it is broken forever!
– The power to start again is coming upon you and the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former!
– The forces of hell that have not been able to stop me, stop my father in the Lord or stop the move of God on the earth are about to give way for you now!
– The limitations of your father’s house are about to be broken now!
– No devil shall see your shame or the shame of your family!
– Before this week is out, you will hear a testimony that will blow your mind!
– I take authority over every spell of barrenness/fruitlessness, today the spell is broken!
– The spirit of hope and despair is checked out right now!
– Before this day is over, they shall send for you!
– Every opposition of witchcraft set in front of you in this season shall collapse!
– Whatever situation you find yourself right now, I am here to announce to you that God is about to take you beyond where you are, as far as you can see beyond where you are!
– God in this season is about to blow the minds of those who know you!
– The last time they stopped you shall be the last forever!
– Whatever God has spoken concerning your life, family and destiny shall come to pass!
– Every conspiracy from anywhere to halt your destiny breaks down now!
– You will end well! Where you are now is not where it will end!
