Memory Verse: I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day; the night cometh when no man can work. – John 9:4
The mandatory task of evangelism was held in high esteem in Jesus’ Ministry. All He had to do, say and act upon was centred on it.
The phrase “I must work” affirms this assertion and emphasizes its relevance. Whatever pattern or strategy that we adopt today, we must be passionate about it and equally productive. Today, we shall look at two operational models of evangelism.
1. OPERATION ANDREW: John 1:38-49. The whole world lies in tumult. The torments and torture unbelievers go through is not worth continuing same in hell. (Ps. 9:17). God’s word is clear on the position of those who die as sinners. We must be deliberate and determined in our effort to find someone today for Christ. Operation Andrew is the chain system of raising an effective legacy in witnessing.
The power of evangelism had become so “contagious” and “infectious” that no one could afford to keep silent. Andrew findeth his own brother Simon who later became a pillar for the propagation of the Gospel. Jesus findeth Philip who also found Nathanael. Have you found (witnessed) to any of your family members? Regrettably we spend so much money to hire busses, contract catering services to professional cooks and do everything possible to give our loved ones befitting burial and yet no one spends resources to take a pastor to his village to witness (find) his parents.

Some of them have become custodians of the customs of the land and consultants in traditional rituals while yet alive. Others of your brothers are yahoo yahoo boys who have not tasted the grace of God and yet you are only waiting to invite us on the day of their burial. This is an aberration and an error that must be corrected while opportunity last. You must find them today?
2. OPERATION JOIN THIS CHARIOT: Acts 8:26-36. As long as we live, God gives us opportunities on daily basis to be an extension of His hands to someone longing for help. The Spirit instructed Philip to join the chariot carrying an Ethiopian diplomat who willed so much authority but lacked the basic knowledge of scriptures. This instruction was not for him to enjoy a pleasure ride with such a dignified Government official who incidentally was having a pleasure time going through the only word of life. This remarkable encounter turned out to be the most productive one-on-one evangelism that culminated in water baptism.
Only heaven knows the spiritual impact this rich Government official must have made when he got to his domain.
Opportunities abound on daily basis for you to reach out to some hungry soul out there.
Have you found your brother or sister?
Are you arranging for a meeting with your Pastor to visit your Parents and minister the word to them or you are waiting for the day they will say bye-bye so that your Pastor can come and preach to your guests about the heaven they probably missed? Consider your ways. You can’t miss hell if you miss heaven. No room for dual citizenship. It is either heaven or hell.
