Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14: 1-2.

No subject in human history has come under severe attack, open confrontation and condemnation by so called sages, philosophers and atheists like that of heaven. Yet no subject has received an overwhelming acceptance like it.

Nothing takes God by surprise. He had, from the dawn of creation mapped out the different time lines. By His prophetic calendar, we have the following time line yet to be unveiled except the church age in which we are currently in.

  • Church age >Rapture > Judgment seat of Christ / Tribulation > Christ’s second coming > Millennium > Great White Throne Judgment > New Heaven and Earth.

OUR FATHERS AND THEIR CRAVING FOR CITIZENSHIP IN HEAVEN

  • Ps 27:1, 4; John 14:1-3; Acts 7:55-60; 1Cor 9:24-27; Phil. 1:21-24, 3:10-13; 2Tim 4:6-8; Heb 13:12-14.

This world has played host to men and women of great honour, influence and fame crowned with tremendous accomplishment But none of them left the world with any of their possessions they amassed.

Men like Solomon who became a model to the world so much such that His palace was a tourist site at the end of his assessment rated the achievements as vanity. Mansa Musa, the Emperor of Mali kingdom whose personal riches was more than that of his entire nation died and was buried without a dine.

However, men like David, a one time shepherd turned King who had the control of his kingdom in his palms and was a blazing flame to the society, despite all these achievements, his desire for heaven can be seen in Ps 27:4. When in the midst of all he stated. “One thing have I desired, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life”.

Noah in his days remained in the ark despite the popular opinion of the entire world against his action.

Enoch served God until he was taken away. Stephen saw the glory of heaven and desired a quick transition as he passionately prayed for his killers.

We have so many things today that compete with and even challenge our commitment not to talk of a desire for heaven. But inspite of all that David had, he had a superior desire. Today, an average Christian is passionate about his business, acquisition of material possession, landed properties, cars, etc. Some are ready to do anything conceivable to get their riches all at the expense of their soul.

Paul preferred to live for Christ and die for the cause of Christ.

Heaven is real. Whoever that has deceived you into thinking and believing that “man die man go” has only succeeded in damning your soul. Here in this present world, we have no continuing city not even Great Britain, Canada, nor America.

Where is Babylon today with its hanging gardens? What of the prestigious nation of Rome? Have you heard of Greece in recent times except in the course of reading your Bible? I charge you this day to seek for one to come. BE BORN AGAIN TODAY. This is the only ACCEPTABLE VISA.
