Scripture Union Daily Guide 11th July 2025 Outline

Paul and Silas turned the prison to a worship auditorium (Acts 16:25). How do we conduct ourselves when we experience hardship in our walk with the Lord and in the gospel service?

God used the imprisonment of His servants as an opportunity to touch the jailer’s heart (Acts 16:26-28); and finally, the big question about how to be saved came (Acts 16:29-30). What is the gospel message according to Acts 16:31? As simple as it is, the Gospel message is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (Romans 1:16)! God keeps bringing souls our way, what is He expecting us to do (Acts 16:32)? The one night that Paul and Silas spent in prison gave the jailer and his household the opportunity to be saved. Sometimes the Lord can send us to a place for the salvation of just one person (compare Acts 8:26,27).

Read Acts 16:33-34 again and observe the jailer’s attitude towards Paul and Silas. We have obligation to care for the people who expose us to spiritual blessings.

What Next:
“It is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil” (1 Peter 3:17)

Closing Prayer:
Lord, help me to spend time to worship and praise you daily, even in times of trouble.
