Scripture Union Daily Guide 14th July 2025 Outline
Paul continues his missionary journey despite hardship and hostilities. Where is Paul now Acts 18:1)? God’s help for Paul’s ministry in Corinth began with partnership with a faithful couple – Aquila and Priscilla, whose hands, hearts, and home were dedicated to the Lord (Acts 18:2-4; Romans 16:3,4). When our lives are given to the Lord, our possessions become His for the gospel. Who else teamed up with Paul (Acts 18:5)?
With financial support from the Macedonians, Paul was able to concentrate on mission work (Acts 18:5, 2 Corinthians 11:9). Giving sacrificially for missions is an expression of love for God. Without the contributions of these mission supporters and partners, there would not have been a Church in Corinth.
Observe how God also encouraged Paul amid severe oppositions with the salvation of Titus Justus (Acts 18:6-7; Romans 16:23) and Crispus (Acts 18:8). God’s favour comes to us in different forms and times. However, we should not worry if we do not receive all we are trusting God for on this side of eternity, we have better rewards in heaven (Hebrews 11:13-16). Why do you think God spoke to Paul in Acts 18:9-11?

For Further Study
God speaks to His children. Take time to check how God spoke to Abraham (Genesis 15:1), Isaac (Genesis 26:24), Jacob (Genesis 46:3), Mary (Luke 1:30) and Peter (Luke 5:10). Do you hear God when He speaks to you?
Closing Prayer
Lord, I rely on your interventions in my life and ministry. Please send me timely helps and favour.
